Editorial Manager and Preprint Manager provide several options for processing journal forms. For example, journal administrators can configure submission questions that appear for appropriate article types and that can be varied for new and revised submissions. This approach captures responses so that they can be checked and transmitted to other systems following manuscript acceptance.

Alternatively, (as in the above graphic) external forms (e.g. Word, PDF) can be uploaded during or after submission. These forms are (optionally) excluded from the manuscript PDF, but are stored in the manuscript “file inventory” folder so that they are accessible throughout workflow. These configuration options are free to EM/PM users and can be modified at any time by the journal administrator as forms requirements change.
