Registration for the next European Editorial Manager User Group Meeting (EEMUG 2020) is open! Aries encourages current users of Editorial Manager® and ProduXion Manager® to join us on January 23-24 in London for EEMUG 2020 and select their preferred sessions in advance.
The EEMUG agenda is designed to address a wide variety of workflow and industry topics at different skill levels so all attendees can participate. Browse the meeting program to read descriptions on each session to help with your selection during registration.
After welcomes and introductions from Aries staff on day one (Thursday), EEMUG 2020 kicks-off with our Feature Workshop. Designed to solicit direct feedback from EM/PM users, this highly collaborative and interactive session allows attendees to dive right in by brainstorming and voting on ideas to enhance Author, Reviewer and Editor experiences with the systems. Users are encouraged to bring their feature and functionality wish-list to this workshop to suggest improvements for future product developments.
Open Access, Read & Publish, Transformative Agreements concludes the first day of meetings on Thursday afternoon. This session will feature a guest speaker’s (to be announced) personal knowledge and experience surrounding these business models and their impact on the scholarly publishing community. A cocktail reception will be held immediately following this final session for attendees to network among colleagues.
First thing on the agenda on day two (Friday) is Update on LiXuid Manuscript. This general session covers the current features of our latest innovation, LiXuid Manuscript™ for comprehensive XML workflows, and plans for the multi-year development roadmap.
In addition to the general sessions available, attendees can choose from a diverse selection of boot camps and breakout sessions throughout the two-day meeting. Editorial Manager Bootcamp is offered on Thursday. Ideal for new users, EM Bootcamp is a deep-dive introduction to EM functionality. Alternatively, for ProduXion Manager users, PM User Group will be held on Friday morning following the general session. PM User Group will cover new functionality and is a great venue to share PM-specific feedback with Aries.
Breakout session blocks are held concurrently, with four breakout blocks offered total. These sessions highlight various topics and functionality at different user experience levels. Don’t miss an opportunity to connect with an Aries Account Coordinator (AC) in the Configuration Audit & Consultation Workshop. Led by the Aries Client Services team, this breakout session allows users to ask questions and discuss personal workflows with an Aries AC in person! Other popular breakout sessions in this year’s lineup are Transaction API and Other APIs, Effective Communications in EM, XML Bootcamp, Cross Publication Functions in EM & PM, Identity Confidence Check, Enterprise Analytic Reporting Case Studies and more!
On Friday afternoon, the final general session, The Road Ahead, will be led by Aries Director of Product Management, Tony Alves. This session will leave attendees with insights on what’s to come on the development roadmap for future releases beyond software version 17.1.
