EMUG 2019 Agenda: Bootcamps & Breakout Sessions
Are you looking forward to this year’s session lineup at EMUG Boston? We welcome all current and prospective users to attend our upcoming user group meeting on June 20-21st at the Hyatt Regency Harbor Boston Hotel to benefit from the EMUG experience.
The EMUG agenda is designed to provide attendees with diverse options for any level of user to deepen their Editorial Manager and ProduXion Manager skills, with plenty of coffee breaks in between! You can read session descriptions on our agenda to help with your selection.
After registration, breakfast, and a warm welcome from Aries staff, attendees dive right into our Feature Workshop. Following this interactive group session, attendees can choose from a diverse selection of “bootcamps” and breakout sessions.
BOOTCAMPS
On Thursday, new users can choose to join Editorial Manager Bootcamp. This deep-dive session is designed as a thorough introduction or refresher on EM functionality from Author, Editor and Review standpoints, and is ideal for new users. Led by one of our expert Account Coordinators, EM Bootcamp is the place to ask questions, interact with other users who may be new to the system, and leave feeling like a total pro. If you’re considering attending but not sure if Bootcamp is right for you, take a look at this presentation from a previous EM Bootcamp.
ProduXion Manager users, we didn’t forget about you! Join the ProduXuion Manager User Group session on day two. Led by our Product Management staff, PM User Group is the place to share PM-specific feedback with the Aries team, plus learn about new functionality, reporting, and more.
Not an experienced ProduXion Manager user, but still want to learn the basics? Participate in our beginner level breakout session, PM Bootcamp, on Friday afternoon.
BREAKOUTS
Throughout Thursday afternoon and Friday, attendees can pick from a selection of three breakout sessions offered concurrently–and in some cases, it may be hard to choose! Review the agenda to plan your sessions and feel free to contact us if you’re not sure which sessions are the best fit for you; we’re happy to help make a recommendation! Breakout sessions include Transactional API, Preprint Servers, XML Overview, Identity Confidence Check, Communications in EM, EAR Reporting and more. Breakout sessions are designed to cover an array of topics and user experience levels.
Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned pro looking for the latest advancement, there is a place for everyone at EMUG! The agenda also features a keynote presentation, a panel discussion on FAIR data, and insights into the development roadmap for future product releases.
