EMUG 2022: Another Successful User Group Meeting in the Books!
That’s a wrap on the 2022 virtual Editorial Manager User Group (EMUG) meeting! Aries’ three-day event, held on June 14-16th, provided Editorial Manager® and ProduXion Manager® users with valuable insights into existing and upcoming features and functionality designed to enhance their workflow.
Each day of EMUG 2022 embodied a unique theme and was offered free of charge to further support our user community during the pandemic. EMUG 2022’s agenda, which included several guest speakers from key industry organizations, featured case studies, partner integration spotlights, panel discussions, and system tutorials. Hosting EMUG 2022 in a virtual setting allowed us to connect with more than double of our standard reach, with 316 unique registrants across all three days compared to our average attendance for our in-person U.S. user group meetings.
Sessions during Day 1: Exploring All Facets of Peer Review detailed the advantages, disadvantages, and trends of standard and emerging models of peer review immediately followed by a case study of transparent peer review in practice by PLOS. Following a showcase of EM functionality that support invited workflows, Day 2: Attracting the Right Research a diverse panel discussed Wolters Kulwer, JoVE, and Elsevier’s experiences implementing solicited content workflows and how it contributes to their strategic business model. An introduction to the Aries Partner Program and expansive ecosystem, a spotlight on our integrations with Copyright Clearance Center (CCC) and Figshare, and an overview of the key themes and initiatives on the Aries roadmap were highlighted on Day 3: Innovating Today and Beyond.
Recordings for each day of EMUG are available in the Aries webinar catalog. We thank our dedicated members of Aries staff, invited panelists, and user community for making EMUG 2022 a success! Stay tuned for details on 2023 user group opportunities!
