Tell us a little about yourself – how long have you been working for Aries? What have your roles at Aries been?

I have been with Aries for 14 years now. I began within the Aries Engineering department, but am now a member of the database administration (DBA) team. My understanding of, and experience in, engineering helps with issues DBA sometimes handles.

Tell me about your department and the people you work most closely with.

Everyone on my team is helpful and supportive, and each of us have different areas of expertise. We share information, tips, and help each other out to work through any situation that arises.

Describe your typical workday.

There are a couple of things that we check on daily as part of our regular routine. The rest of the day varies depending on what is happening or incoming priorities, such as addressing customer reported issues, handling “undos” (back-end data fixes), checking the audit server, testing the structured query language (SQL) for the Engineering team, etc.

What do you most enjoy about your job? What do you enjoy most about working for Aries?

I enjoy tuning SQL and solving the puzzle of what’s happening. I also appreciate how helpful my colleagues are across other teams and squads within Aries! If you have a question, they will assist or direct you to someone who can.

What are you currently reading, listening to, or watching?

I follow Star Wars and Marvel films, as well as Doctor Who and Stranger Things television shows. I also tune into the Gaia Channel. I am currently reading a book on energy medicine. I listen to a wide range of music – some say an eclectic list of music!

Tell me about some of your hobbies/interests outside of work.

I do Aura and Chakra Imaging of people, as I am an energy healer with REIKI, Shamballa, and other modalities. I am current working on finishing my Pendulum Healer Certification.
