The OA Switchboard strives to enable the seamless sending and receiving of messages relating to the publication of open access research outputs for participating publishers, academic institutions, and research funding organizations.

Persistent identifiers (PIDs) are essential for implementing policies, realising agreements, and developing new business models to support a broader move to open access (OA) in scholarly publishing. In this how-to style webinar, the OA Switchboard is joined by a panel of industry professionals in a quick-fire round of practical (but powerful!) use cases and solutions showing different ways PIDs are playing a role in bridging workflow gaps, enabling interoperability of standardized data end-to-end, and supporting OA initiatives.
