Bloomsbury Qatar Foundation Journals to Accept Author Submissions Using Editorial Manager
November 22, 2010 North Andover, MA, USA and Doha, Qatar – Recently founded publishing house Bloomsbury Qatar Foundation Journals (BQFJ) has selected the Editorial Manager submission and peer review system for its journal publishing activities. BQFJ’s newly established portfolio of open access journals will be developed to the highest international peer review standards and will accommodate authors’ and readers’ needs for high-quality publications. After a rigid peer review process, BQFJ journal articles will be accessible through online content platform QScience.com.
Editorial Manager is a web-based system for soliciting author manuscripts and managing peer review. It is already used by thousands of scholarly journals including the world’s largest commercial publisher and the world’s largest open access publisher. Preprint Manager enables efficient processing of manuscript workflow following editorial acceptance.
Commenting on the choice of system, Arend Küster, Managing Director at BQFJ said: “First-rate peer review is absolutely central to our initiative. Because Editorial Manager is functionally richer and more configurable than other platforms, it will help propel our journal publishing initiative and QScience.com to the quality level researchers and scientists have come to expect.”
Lyndon Holmes, President of Aries Systems Corporation, said: “We are delighted to participate in this dynamic new initiative that leverages our system’s end-to-end workflow capabilities and ongoing investment in internationalization.”
