January 3, 2005, North Andover, MA, USA – Springer SBM, a leading publisher of more than 1,300 scholarly journals, and Aries Systems Corporation are pleased to announce an agreement that brings the benefits of online manuscript submission and tracking to the world’s authors, reviewers and editors. As part of the agreement, the Editorial Manager online peer review system will be rolled out to several hundred journals published by Springer SBM during the next two years.

Using Aries’ Editorial Manager system, Springer SBM will enhance the level of service that it offers to the scientific community while simultaneously reducing the cost and time to publish a manuscript. The agreement is the outcome of a three-year extended pilot project that saw the successful deployment of the system to more than 140 journals, and integration with the company’s Documentum®-based production tracking systems.
