At the recent user group meeting, we asked attendees to identify Editorial Manager features that help solve editorial workflow problems. Below are a couple of examples. They can be easily activated on any Editorial Manager journal.
Editorial Manager’s ability to handle Co-Authors
Submitting Authors are able to easily add contributor names to the submission. Journals can require that the Co-Authors verify their contribution to the manuscript by clicking on an emailed deep-link. Additionally, the Author role may be given permission to view the status of Co-Authors’ verifications.
Single sign-on for Editors
When this feature is enabled, journal staff can toggle between the journals of the same publisher. This is easily done from the same interface, and only requires one EM log-in for all journals.
