It may be months away, but Aries’ Director of Product Management Tony Alves is already thinking about spring!
That’s because he’ll be traveling to Singapore to participate in ISMTE’s Asian Conference 2016.
“This is the first time ISMTE has held a meeting in the region,” said Alves. “With more and more publishing activity happening in Asia, it is a natural fit for ISMTE to harness the enthusiasm, innovation and collaboration with this kind of event.”
Tony will be moderating a panel focused on “Emerging Standards as Best Practices in Scholarly Publishing” at the conference. “Understanding and utilizing standards, such as ORCID, FundRef, and CRediT, is important to STM publishing worldwide,” said Alves. “It is of particular utility in parts of the world where different character sets are used and where author and contributor names might be similar or unfamiliar to western publishers. Adopting these emerging standards helps the exchange of information and data.”
Tony is a member of the ISMTE Industry Advisory Board, and Aries is a proud sponsor of the ISMTE Asian Conference. Learn more about the meeting.
