PLoS ONE is a peer-reviewed, open-access online publication which welcomes reports on primary research from any scientific discipline.

At the Society for Scholarly Publishing’s Annual Meeting in June 2011, PLoS ONE reported substantially increasing number of article publications in each quarter (see chart) since July 2010. The number of submissions received by PLoS ONE from 1/1/2011 to 6/30/2011 was more than 1.5 times greater than the number of submissions from 7/1/2010 to 12/31/2010.
