Did you know? Editorial Manager facilitates ORCID registration

Do your authors need a convenient way to register for an ORCID? When you activate ORCID functionality in Version 10.1, EM displays a registration link that is used to automatically populate the user’s EM registration record with a confirmed ORCID number. It’s easy – give it a try by registering on this test site.

Find out more about the EM-ORCID integration:
EM “fetches” ORCIDs.

Easy manuscript transfer

In EM, publishers already enjoy the option to transfer manuscripts between journals. With the release of v10.0, Aries has added several useful options:

  • Authors can agree to or decline a transfer option offered by the journal.
  • Authors can choose from several publisher-selected target journals.
  • Reviewer forms include explicit “opt in/opt out” options for reviewers to indicate their willingness to have their review transferred to another journal.

Journal of Pipeline Engineering converts to Editorial Manager

PipelineEngineering-JournalCoverAfter the Journal of Pipeline Engineering‘s recent switch to Editorial Manager, Editor John Tiratsoo of Great Southern Press commented, “From the first contact with the EM team, it was clear that this system has been designed with the busy editor and reviewer in mind. I have been impressed with the comprehensive approach provided, and with the ease of customizing almost everything to suit our journal’s style. I have also been delighted at the level of support from our Aries Account Coordinator.

“Our contributors and reviewers are themselves already using EM without difficulty, and the luxurious ability of straightforwardly being able to track the progress of manuscripts through the review process is becoming readily apparent.”
