The American Meteorological Society (AMS) produces ten journals plus the organization’s membership magazine, all of which use Aries’ web-based production tracking and workflow system.

Journals Production Manager Mike Friedman, Ph.D. commented, “The decision to switch from an in-house system to Aries solutions emerged after it became clear that continued investing in development and support of the former, which had become unreliable and difficult to efficiently maintain, would be unduly burdensome to the AMS. Since the change of systems in summer of 2010, Preprint Manager has allowed better visibility of manuscript status and control over tasks, ultimately leading to a more efficient process and reduced journal production times.”
