Version 10.2 entered the beta testing phase in September. This is another release packed with features and enhancements to “lighten the load” for authors, editors, reviewers, and journal offices.

One such 10.2 feature is Duplicate Submission Detection, which identifies upon submission into Editorial Manager, manuscripts with a high degree of similarity to papers previously submitted. “Similarity” is assessed based on title, abstract, and author names. The functionality can be activated for single journals or groups of journals controlled by the same publisher.
