In collaboration with Greg Tananbaum of ScholarNext Consulting, Lyndon Holmes, President of Aries Systems Corporation, recently co-authored an article on the history of Web-based peer review which was published in the October issue of the journal Learned Publishing. The paper covers the evolution of electronic solutions for the editorial workflow from the earliest experiments in the 1970’s to the current dominance of online systems in the scholarly publishing industry.
