MIT Press selects Editorial Manager for Two Newly Launching Open Access Journals
MIT Press selected Editorial Manager to support the submission and peer review workflows of two new Open Access journals, Open Mind, and Computational Psychiatry.
“Editorial Manager’s growing feature set is highly supportive of MIT Press’ workflows,” said MIT Press Journals Director, Nick Lindsay. “In addition, the Aries team’s ability to quickly but carefully construct and deploy solutions for our program gives us a solid foundation to scale upon.”
Computational Psychiatry (CPSY) will be the first journal solely dedicated to research in its burgeoning field. The journal will publish original research articles and reviews that involve the application, analysis, or invention of theoretical, computational and statistical approaches to mental function and dysfunction.
As an Open Access (OA) publication, all content will be freely available to readers across the globe.
Open Mind provides a new venue for the highest quality, most innovative work in cognitive science, offering affordable open access publishing, concise and accessible articles, and quick turnaround times for authors. The journal covers the broad array of content areas within cognitive science using approaches from cognitive psychology, computer science and mathematical psychology, cognitive neuroscience and neuropsychology, comparative psychology and behavioral anthropology, decision sciences, and theoretical and experimental linguistics. These approaches are applicable to a broad range of content areas, including learning and memory, attention and object recognition, language processing and development, causal reasoning, judgment and decision-making, philosophy of mind, and more.
Open Mind is also an OA journal.
